Green Tea !!!!

This is a familiar term for all the so called fitness freaks out there πŸ™‚
These days almost each and everyone I meet wants to reduce weight and keep trying something or the other on this planet that they think it would make us fit overnight. The fact is we are not ready to wait for anything that we try, to have any impact on us. We try green tea for a week and say OMG I have been taking this green tea since such a long time but still I don’t see any change in my weight. And there are few more freaks on earth who drink green tea replacing water. They dip some green tea bags in a cup of water and mix it in a full bottle and keep sipping the tea all time when ever they wanted to have water.
The most important thing is patience. A healthy weight loss takes a longer time than you think. If you try green tea, well and good, but please know how and when to take it before you start. Just green tea will do no miracle in you. If you wanna burn fat, you need to exercise, avoid fatty food, reduce carbs intake, etc. On top of which, your green tea will help(that too a bit) to loose weight. Green tea contributes hardly 5-10% in your routine for weight loss.

There is one more trend going on around us.I hope you would have hunched it by now πŸ™‚ Yes ! ‘The Paleo Diet’. This is a dietary plan based on the food eaten by the hunters, cavemen ,etc. around 10,000 years back. It includes meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, diary products, nuts and seeds. I agree that this is a healthy way of eating but please remember that they had a healthy lifestyle as well. If the hunters were eating meat, they had it without any masalas and spices. Is this the same that is followed these days ? When the plan says its a meat today, we order tandoori chicken, shawarma, mutton chukka, and so on (keta diet nu solla vendiyadhu). But yes, all or some of the bollywood actors can follow the actual paleo diet. They will have people working for them exclusively for their diet, exercise and everything that contributes to their fitness. Will this be possible for us ? Will any middle or upper middle class mother can cook paleo diet for every meal ? I’m not adverse with Paleo diet, I’m just trying to say don’t loose weight for a pair of jeans or for your upcoming marriage. Do it for your own health and wellness. Your health is not an expense it is an investment (Ha Ha, this is pirated from a gym hoarding).

So, lovely readers, just keep it simple. Abs is not just from gym it comes from your kitchen as well (sondha karuthu illai, karuthu courtesy: HP πŸ™‚ ). If you are looking for a flat tummy and a perfect body, then start with some simple workouts, avoid junk food, oily food and sugar. Try with some simple ones (such as too much caffeine) that you could really afford to quit, though you are not able to go for a perfect paleo plan.
